Top Banana are organically grown bananas using no petrochemical pesticides and fungicides and adhering to zero carbon footprint objectives throughout the production line. Not only are these healthier and tastier bananas but help stop the effects of Green House Gases (GHG).
Consumers can count on a healthier diet that organic bananas provide and also create an environmentally healthier world. Ecuador is the largest exporter of Bananas in the world, with RDT’s program the objective is for Ecuador to meet the world’s climate change solution objectives.
RDT sources, invests and promotes in Ecuador’s Cocoa which is know to be the best quality in the world and studies have found that the origins of Cocoa is the Ecuadorian Amazon Jungle. This cocoa comes from predominately small family farms which enhances the economic social development.
Globally, cattle are estimated to produce 5,335 million tons of CO2 equivalents (CO2e) per year, which is about 11% of all human-induced GHG emissions. Global methane (CH4) emissions produced from enteric fermentation in cattle were estimated at 73.5 million metric tons in 2021. The beef and dairy cattle industry is one of the main contributors to global greenhouse gases. Methane makes up about half of the total greenhouse gases this sector emits. Cows generate methane in two main ways: through their digestion and through their waste. Cows are part of a group of animals called ruminants.
RDT sources, invests and promotes in producers that practice environmentally and socially friendly production methods. Included in the practices is introducing alternative feed which include methane reduction like seaweed from seaweed farms that RDT is helping to promote in the Ecuadorian coastline. Also the care of cattle by non-evasive and non-petrochemical products to keep cattle healthy like aloa vera creams so that cattle is not hurt by chemicals in RDT’s field studies have shown to increase dairy production from 5 liters per day to 14 liters per day this help keep the need to increase dairy cattle drastically down and better heathier dairy products and a cleaner environment.
Ecuador is the largest exporter of farm raised shrimp in the world. Unfortunately the majority of the shrimp farms use diesel generator to pump water in their ponds creating many environment problems. The industry is quickly changing and RDT is there to help by providing on and off site Renewable Energy Solution. RDT also structures methodologies for the farmers to be able to have zero carbon certification for their products.
Zero Carbon Footprint Fruits & Vegetables
