Solar can be the fastest renewable energy source to implement. And due to a high production of solar panels, the cost per kw has been coming down to make if more accessible to the markets. Solar power’s limitation is the high cost of energy storage for night time energy demand but can be mitigated by combining with engineered storage soltions and combining with other renewables energy sources.
RDT combines different renewable energy sources including solar, wind, geothermic, hydroelectric and waste to energy. The configuration of these sources depends on location, energy demand and schedules, customer industry and electrical grid proximities.
One example is our 141 hectare oceanfront property in Ecuador is located on the equator with high amounts of solar hours on 2100 meters of beach front on the Pacific Ocean with a Specific Photovoltaic Power Output or GHI of 1576.60 kWh/m2 and Eolic potential of 162 Watt/m2. The property sits on 40-meter-high cliffs and a wide range of gorges creating a dynamic effect on the wind ranges between 8 mile/h to 39 mile/h winds. The project is can be ready to provide energy within 90 to 120 days depending on finalizing permitting 167MWh.
This solar park project is located 32 km from the city of Manta home to the Ecuador’s tuna industry which the 2nd largest in the world and within 9 km of over 7000 hectares of shrimp farms and of course a port city with over 125,000 people who count for a source of energy a 221 MW thermic electric plant which imports and burns fuel oil every hour.
We hope to provide the solar energy to our client partners through PPA’s where to client partners can benefits as partners to each project and as well benefit form Co2 Credits.
